Story
From one Oracle course to an institute
As told in the film.
The story, in order
- Bangalore. An Oracle database certification, then a job offer. A few months later her father asked her to come home to Nagpur.
- 2000. Back in Nagpur, she starts Unisoft Technologies to teach Oracle.
- The first seminar. At MIET Gondia the principal had her sit for eight hours the day before, then gave her a session: a technical seminar for about 300 final- and third-year students. Her first batch, 22 or 23 students in databases, followed, then a Linux batch.
- 2001 to about 2008. Seminars at around 127 engineering colleges a year, she recalls, and placement consulting for IT companies.
- Certified trainers. As Unisoft grew, every trainer had to be globally certified (Oracle, Linux or CCNA) before taking a batch.
- Growth. Franchises, and centres of Unisoft’s own: at one time three in Nagpur, an office in Pune (2016) and a centre in Bangalore (2017), since closed. Today Unisoft is in Dharampeth, Nagpur.
- 2009 and 2010. Saurabh Joshi learns Oracle SQL on a course during the recession, finishes his post-graduation, and gets a call from Unisoft. He joins in 2010 as a junior faculty member.
- Today. He is the CTO and forward deployed engineer, and his work runs across Unisoft, The Pride School and NS Mentors.
