| RH303 Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)

| The Red Hat Certified Engineer Boot Camp course (RH303) is designed for the experienced Linux system administrator who is interested in becoming a Red Hat Certified Engineer. The class provides a hands-on training environment where students install and configure common network services and security on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. It includes instruction in operating system (OS) installation as well as the management of packages, users, disks, networks, permissions, bootloader, and runlevels. |
| Red Hat Certified Engineer Boot Camp includes: |
- Access to the Red Hat online virtual environment for self-study. Access is granted one week before class begins, and continues through the week of class.
- A Red Hat Certified Instructor available via chat to answer questions (8 a.m. - 5 p.m. EST) during the week of self-study.
- Three class manuals, including:
- A pre-class manual that contains comprehensive lab exercises to refresh core Linux administrator skills (e.g., those taught in RH133 and RH253)
- A class manual that will be used during classroom instruction
- A post-class manual that will provide additional self-study lab exercise

credential, praised by certificate-holders,
employers, and industry analysts alike.
An RHCE certification is earned when an IT professional
demonstrates, through a hands-on, performance-based
exam, the core system administration skills common to
Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments. RHCE is an appropriate
certification for system administrators and professionals
in a wide variety of roles, including database
administrators, developers, and support technicians. |
- Candidates should have at least 3+ years of Linux experience. This course is not designed for UNIX or Microsoft Windows users transitioning to Linux.
- Students should have knowledge of configuration and security. In addition, they need to be familiar with most of the skills listed in the course content section below.
- Candidates that do not posses the skills listed in the course content section are required to take a free online pre-assessment test located at redhat.com/explore/pre-assessment. This assessment will verify that they have the skills to attend this course.
