RHCSS - REDHAT

The Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS) certification validates high level skills in tackling security problems and implementing required security solutions in an enterprise’ environment. This course teaches students how to use Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SELinux, and Red Hat Directory Server to meet the security challenges..

Red Hat Certified Security Specialist is a new certification from Red Hat which certifies Red Hat Certified Engineers on the all important security function. RHCE is a pre-requisite for taking RHCSS training. Only current RHCEs are eligible to be certified as a Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS)

Prerequisite :

  • RHCT/RHCE certifications earned on RHEL 4 will become non-current 60 days after general availability of RHEL 6.
  • For RHCEs earned under RHEL 4, they are required to re-certify their RHCE certification to retain upper-level credentials such as Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS), Red Hat Certified Datacenter Specialist (RHCSS) and Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)
  • Only current RHCEs are eligible to be certified as a Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS)
